We specialise in CORPORATE PLANNING (determining your objectives and how to get there) andSTRATEGIC PLANNING (what to do to get where you want to go).

CORPORATE AND STRATEGIC PLANNING usually involves an intervention with your management team, over several days, to iron out what your company should be doing, why and how you want to do it. The deliverable is an action plan, identifying who (the responsible person) will do what, by when (date). This can then be used by the manager/owner to drive the monthly management meetings for the next planning period, usually a year. We find that most of the demand for STRATEGIC PLANNING in today’s world ends up with shorter term results wanted in terms of:

ACCESSING FUNDING

When you start a new business, buy a company or want to change an existing business, this often needs money that you don’t have, so you need to borrow money. This is not an easy process, especially in the tight economic times that we are in right now. We can help by assisting you in setting up a funding strategy, drawing up the required funding application, producing the background documentation, introducing you to potential funders and helping you through the funding process.

BUSINESS PLANS

Usually to access funding from banks and other institutions (this is why most people come to us), but also to get direction on what you as the owner/manager of a company should be doing, why and how, so that you can get the sales in to allow you to pay the bills and have money over!

MARKETING PLANS

To allow you to understand your market, how to approach it, what to do to attract and retain customers, what to charge them and how to look after them to grow or maintain your sales income. This is frequently a step to a business plan.

DUE DILIGENCE STUDIES

Before you buy a company, you need to know if it is in a sound condition and what it is worth. This is where you need an outside, expert evaluation of the target company, along with a recommended purchase price.

BUSINESS FEASIBILITY

Before you start a new venture, you may want us to look at the business to see if it is viable, what the strong and weak points are, where the risks lie and what will need to be done to make a success of it.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

When you start a new business or if your small business has grown, you will need to put in formal systems to run your company properly. This may include, but not be limited to, policies and procedures to cover: personnel (recruitment, leave, salaries and wages, discipline, work hours and conditions, etc), cash handling (receiving, controlling and banking), debtors (credit control) and creditors, sales monitoring, expense monitoring and controlling, travelling/vehicle expenses, purchasing (capital goods, materials and property), budgetary control and management control. This is an underrated area!

MENTORING AND BUSINESS ADVISING

A lot of people find that they are not certain of their next steps because what they are doing is new. This is common, especially in starting up a new venture or when a business gets in to trouble. We have experienced people who can help you evaluate your current situation, decide on what needs to be done and implement an action plan.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES

In order to run your company properly, you need to be able to measure what is happening. This is usually done through a financial management (accounting) system. We will visit you and help you decide the kind of system you need. We can implement a manual or computerised (PASTEL) system for you and train you to use it.

BUSINESS TURNAROUND

If your busienss is struggling and you need help to find out why - we can help! DON'T LEAVE IT UNTIL YOU ARE DOWN THE DRAIN - THE SOONER YOU GET US INVOLVED, THE GREATER THE CHANCES ARE THAT WE CAN HELP YOU SAVE YOUR BUSINESS.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

When a company starts growing and reaches the stage where it can afford to have a full time person looking after the quality, they invariably need a quality management system (QMS). We will help you to decide whether or not you will benefit from a QMS and what should be contained in your system. We will then design the system, produce the manuals and train your staff on the use of the system so that your company can run more smoothly and save money.
